Universal Studios Singapore -- 2nd Trip

 Photo sharing time!!!
As I've mentioned in the previous post, I went to USS again hehe, after 4 months of waiting :D
I can never explain how much I love the place, I don't know whether I'll get sick of the place but...at this moment, I'm like a hard core fan of USS hehe yea sue me for giving money to Singaporeans 
Anyways, well this trip was equally fun as the previous one as I have my other two cousins with me yay!
It was 28th of Dec, and yes a friday, school holiday and new year in 3 days so yea imagine the crowd.
The queue lines were crazily long, it was a test of patience and legs muscle stability. Well i'll talk about what sucked during the trip later hehe
Now, the photos. Well I'll organize them by each park. There's some new rides and attraction that I haven't go for in the last trip, will give some reviews (those in blue font). Do read my previous post if you wanna know more about the rides that I didn't describe in detail. Btw, didn't manage to take as much photos as before, most of our time was spent on queuing. Which gives me the perfect reason to go there for the 3rd time :D

Entrance, though Christmas was over, but they still kept the decorations and also they still have the Christmas special shows, like the snowfall and light-up show. Too bad I was late by 5 minutes to catch the snowfall TT.TT and btw, all the characters that appeared in the park were dressed up with Winter accessories (hats, scarves), which gives the very Christmas season atmosphere.

1. Madagascar
1st ride at The Crate Adventure. :D

 Had Corn Dog and Ice Lemon Tea for lunch at Gloria's Snack Shack.

2. Far Far Away
Just my fave place, yea I always thought that I'm not that fairytale kind of girl, but I guess those princess-with-castle genes are just hardwired in every girl's body haha

The first time we saw them, we were to slow to get in line and they have a limited number of shots that can be taken during each meet and greet sessions. So the second time we see'em we were like crazy fans following them right behind their backs haha
My cousin says, everybody's photo is gonna have us in it coz we're like just right behind them while others kept on snapping photos.

3. The Lost World

Not much photo from here, probably I'm not a big fan of the park haha
plus it was raining in the afternoon
Lined up for more than an hour at the Jurassic River Rapids Adventure but they stopped the operation due to bad weather TT.TT

Anyways, we watched the Waterworld show as well. Just as the last time, the guy still did the Gangnam style thing haha. Laughed so bad.

My first time going on this ride. The queue was long probably because there were limited vehicles available. Well I know this wasn't a very amusing ride coz even small little kids can board this. But I must say, it's worth the wait, the view is amazing, you can see the Far far Away Castle, the lake, and also the Jurassic Park. Plus it was in the evening, so the lights are up but still with a little trace of the sunlight. And I can feel the wind gushing through. Really nice ride. 

Anyways we saw this Velociraptor (Characters Meet and Greet) which passed by us and we almost got in their way lol. Gosh that dinosaur just looked real! 

4. Ancient Egypt
Loved this park too, all the supersized Egyptian monuments, statues and of course the awesome Revenge of the Mummy ride!! Yeap that's the wait-until-leg-pain-pain ride. Maybe because of the long queue, the queue lines were extended, and we get to explore more of the artefacts and decorations they have placed in the waiting lanes. I swear the waiting lines are still freaking creepy, I saw this two little girls who went in first without their parents, they stopped halfway coz they were scared (yes I see the fear on their faces) So we led them haha. Anyways I still love this ride so muchie!!! Went for the 2nd time in the evening, where the waiting time was just 5 minutes lol, and took the frontseat as well, frontseat is just so much better, really!

5. Sci-Fi City
Just like the previous trip, went for the MUST-GO Transformers The Ride, and the Battlestar Galactica double roller coasters (both Human and Cylon track) Transformers was still so awesome to me, the effects, the motion..fantastic. The Battlestar coasters, lol, shout so bad when I went for the Human track, I forgot how freaking fast the roller coaster is, shout until no voice, no time to catch a breath. and again, the Cylon track was awesome!!

6. New York
I don't know why but, New York has the biggest crowd among all parks. There's no rides but still, people tend to gather there. Probably because of the beautiful Christmas Deco and also pretty buildings and wide space. But sad case, didn't have much time to take photos around the place.

7. Hollywood

Crowded as usual. The Christmas Lights were beautiful.

Monster Rock musical at the Pantages Hollywood Theatre!

Though not exactly like the real theater, the entrance and lobby of the theater was super beautiful and grand!

The musical was amazing!! Live music, dance, wonderful costumes, you just can help but to enjoy the beat. All the music were popular hits like For Your Entertainment, Nobody, It's my life and much more.

Happy day!!
Well the best part of the trip was the extended opening hours. The waiting time is significantly lower after 7pm, that's the best time to go for a second ride or go to those that you havent been to. But before 7pm the crowd is just, omg super super big. We reached around 11 and the ticket queue was around 500m i guess. Buy tickets online is the best option to save time, though u still need to queue up, but the queue is much, like really really much less. I didn't really like the big crowd to be honest, to many people, u can barely move through the street, there're people walking in all directions, and yes, they tend to spoil your good pictures, not to say they're ugly, but yea, the pics just didn't look nice because there will always be people blocking. And the waiting times, gosh, spent so much time waiting, didn't really have time to just walk around and take photos. The Revenge of the Mummy ride was around 75 minutes! imagine yourself in that dark waiting lane with low ceiling and creepy egyptian statue for 75 minutes!!! The food well, not good, and expensive, i know it's expected, but still kinda hoped for something better. I tried the Waffles and Churros from Sci-Fi City, and both are like....argh, just not nice. Btw, I have a small tip, it's actually a lesson learned haha well If u can, buy the souvenir bottles and refill it for SGD2 only. Well the bottles have a price range, though not exactly cheap but, quite worth it because you'll be constantly craving for drinks inside, thanks to the hot weather and all the waiting. I realized I spent much more on bottled/paper-cup drinks, it's actually cheaper to get the bottle, plus, you actually take the bottle home as a souvenir.

Must get it the moment you enter, just to know what are the showtimes. For that day, they actually have extra shows in the evening. The schedule really helped a lot to plan our day. 

Yes, thanks to cousin who bought the tix online, we got to enter the park immediately. The queue lines at the ticket booths was crazy, seriously.

Sweet & Sour Holidays

So, it's 2013 already?!
Was thinking about what was I doing one year ago, and I can't help but to notice so many things changed, came, passed, go.....
I remember I was preparing for Edexcel exams but now I had already finish the a level course and started degree, in fact my 2nd semester going to start soon. Time seriously flies...
anyways, well I'll save my new-year thoughts and resolutions for the next post.
To kickstart my blog for 2013
here comes my post about my long awaited TRUE holiday!!
yes i remember I had been saying this super a lot in the past 2 years during A-Levels : ALL MY SO-CALLED HOLIDAYS ARE ACTUALLY USED TO STUDY FOR EXAMS, SIGH!

But this time, the real deal is here as it is our semester break after first sem final exam woohoo!!!

Anyways, realizing that i have too much to say and would like to organize my thoughts well
i'll be just briefly describing what happened throughout my holidays
Not like super exciting wan la, but enough to make me happy....

So my last post was 23rd of Dec, i'll start from there
on the 24th, went shopping weeee
Shopped for my family and cousins' presents
it's not a tradition in my family, but I just enjoy the feel of giving and sharing to others hehe....

Had steamboat dinner with parents at The Bonepot, delicious dou sei!!! 

Then went home and wrapped the presents, very last minute I know
didn't really sleep that night LOL

Christmas Day!!! My plan was to bake cupcakes for my family and try to decorate them with Christmas Theme
But obviously I failed lol
The cupcake failed first, i spooned too much batter for one cup, and it rose too much, like some weird volcano haha
Then the decorating part haizzzzzz
So freaking hard mann, I wanted to keep things simple, as in just top the cupcake with the white buttercream to give the white christmas look
But I end up using so much of the Red decorations coz nothing looks good haha
and I drew a template of a snowflake so that i can dust icing powder on it and form a snowflake shape on the cupcake, and I obviously failed again sigh....
But at the end, turns out they still look okay haha, colorful enough and Christmas enough

Anyways, the cupcake taste good :D

26th of Dec : Went Jalan-jalan with Miuyinn
Yeap this is our 3rd KL explore trip, well this time is more of a mini one as we got only half a day to walk around. Went to some historic buildings like the Old Train Station, KTM Building, Butterfly Park, Lake Gardens and of course, all the malls in Bukit Bintang where we can take photos of the beautiful Christmas deco. Will post all the photos in another entry.

 27th of Dec : Trip to JB
yeaps, my long awaited trip down to JB to visit my relatives and cousins
Took the train, yes you heard me, I traveled by train, alone haha
almost 7 hour journey mannn, no joke. Thank God I was sleepy enough to be sleeping most of the time or else I would have been bored!
But afterall, traveling by train is quite comfortable, the crew members are actually very polite. Well the food sucks of course, train delay, some broken windows, some unthoughtful passenger who put their luggage right behind my seat making me unable to adjust the seat, other than those, well, train is quite good really.

28th of Dec : Universal Studios Singapore...again

Yay, 2nd trip to USS!! This time I have 3 cousins with me, the more the merrier hehe.
The crowd was crazy i tell u, but thank God they extended the opening hours!!
Will blog about it in the following post, and more photos coming up :D

29th of Dec : Danga Bay

suppose to be a resting day but my aunt brought the four of us to Danga Bay at night weeee
It was my first time there, I know, shame on me, Go Johor so many times but never been there
Anyways, I was really shocked to see so many people over there, I thought it was just a beach u know, but turns out it's like a family outing spot. Rode bicycles and also played at the Fun Fair hehe
will talk about it in the next post :D

30th of Dec : well nothing much
It was suppose to be our Singapore tour day. I planned to go to places like Orchard road, Marina Bay, Merlion Park, Bugis etc etc I'd even draw out a map and wrote down all the directions. Even noted the train fares. But too bad, I failed to go there, again :(
Well my uncle and aunt didn't really like the idea of us going, well they were probably worried by the crowd coz it's before new year, so yea I don't really wanna put my cousins into that situation lorrr
I thought of going myself, but obviously, no one will let me sigh
So had to cancel the plan. To be dead honest, I'm really sad :( I had already missed it during the last trip and this time I missed it again, it sucks you know, I really wanted to walk around and take photos, especially when the Christmas decorations are still on. Now I hope I can go there as soon as possible...... Singapore u wait for me! I will come to you hehe :D

eventhough I couldn't go to Sg, I still went Sing K with the cousins at Loud Speaker Karaoke. super syok haha Especially when we sing and dance Gangnam Style lol, i danced so crazy that i spill one whole glass of Iced Milo on the floor, super fish haha
After the sing k session, went to another relative's house and had dinner over there. My grandaunt cooked the most delicious panmee on earth la seriously!! The soup, the handmade noodles, the meatballs...delicious.

31st of Dec : suppose to go home by train but Food Poisoning attacks :(
Sad case man, dunno what dirty food i ate, my stomach was really uncomfortable.
I thought I can still tahan, but right before I board the train, my stomach seriously hurts man
So i changed the ticket to 2nd of Jan
I know it's very last minute, so I called my mom and told her I was sick
and guess what she said, she said I purposely act stomach ache so i can stay longer
I mean like wth?? If i wanted to stay I would have acted stomach ache long ago lorrr, why would I wait to the last minute and waste my time?
And seriously it sucks when my stomach hurt so much and yet my mom is still scolding me.
I vomit twice in a shopping mall (opposite the train station)
Wanna thank whoever that cleaned up the mess, I'm so sorry for causing so much trouble.
Anyways, vomit a LOT, like keep on vomiting, whatever went in just came out. Even water came out! Never felt so helpless before. Can't eat anything, can't drink anything.
Had to mafan my relatives summore, take me to doctor, take care of what I eat, i feel really sorry to them.
Until now, I still haven't fully recover sigh
Food poisoning really sucks, hope this thing will never happen to me anymore.

Now : I'm staying at home -- LAZY-ING
well after the trip, and also the stupid food poisoning, time to rest in my home :D
Sem 2 starts in a week's time, excited, but still wished I had more holiday hehe
okok time to sleep like a pig....bb

okay, i think mentioned in the last post that I wont blog anymore, not until my final ends....
but as u can see, I nvr follow whatever i said type haha
turns out there's still some time to write something before this blog goes to the arctic hehe

just wanna say...OMG THE YEAR IS COMING TO AN END!!!
forgive my omg-ness, it's just so hard to believe that time passed so so fast
it seems only yesterday when I was still siting in MCKL classroom with my beta-ians, singing songs like nobody's business while lecturer was teaching infront. We talked about where and which uni we will be going after this and everyone will end up saying "haiya not sure la!!! still got a long long time maaa!!!" but blink blink...so many of us already started our uni course, our crazy journey at the Ivory Tower...
and then another blink, it's week 6 oledy!!!
all my days were filled with classes, assignments, midterms, act-nerding, fishing during lectures, daydreaming during tutorials, but glad to say, I do have a life in uni haha...thanks to my bunch of classmates and housemates who always keep me company :D

Met a primary school friend of mine on Wednesday, goodness i have no idea how long we didn't contact each other!! and trust me it felt like she was another person haha, but either the girl before, or the girl at present, she's still awesome haha ok i'll admit she's even funnier now, glad that God made us meet again in UTAR :D can't wait for our next outing hehe

Relax before the First War starts....

It's amazing how time passes, really. No wonder they always use the phrase "in a blink of an eye" LOL 

My gosh it has been a month!! 

Thought time would slow down like nobody's business when I first came.

But turns out there's really no time to lose mannn
I think I really have to master the art of time management.

okay, at this very moment, I'm stuck again. This situation always happen whenever I didn't blog for weeks and have too much to share. It's so much that I really do not know where to start and more importantly, where to end. 

well i guess I'll just use some of the photos I have to do all the talking hehe

Basically, my birthday was on the 1st, which was one week plus ago. Dad and mom wanted to fetch me home to celebrate my bday since I don't have class on Thursday. But I don't really wanna mafan them la, bday no big deal wert...So I stayed at my hostel and it was my first bday away from home. glad that I didn't have to be alone hehe. Before midnight, cousin asked me out to Secret Recipe and treat me a Tiramisu cake, Happy me haha...Sweet treats are my fave hehe

Then went back to hostel. waited till midnight and there, the housemates wished me haha. And the best part, I had my first 2 bday red eggs. yeap, I never had red eggs on my bday, I always ate them during others' bday. so yea, was kinda shocked that Candy can really stain 2 eggs in like what, 10 minutes, idk LOL

By the way, that was midnight. In the morning, took bus to times square yay!! I've been waiting for so long to get outta Sungai Long mannn.....like finally dream come true. Had a great day shopping around and eating around with the classmates hehe....and the best-est part, the search for the named-timessquare-but-not-at-timesquare bus stop haha...well i think i wont share the incident here, i shall leave it as a inside joke between me n my classmates haha.

felt like some tourist that day, probably because we were in a bus full of  foreign workers, totally forgot that we're still in KL lol

Then, went back home on friday, lots of surprise haha

was searching for my glasses in my bag, only to find one mysterious looking bag and also an envelope LOL

turns out that Sharon and Kaixin bought me presents and card. LOL i rmb how i felt that time, totally unbelievable haha...I thought Sharon was joking when she said she bought my present yesterday and I thought Kaixin was really buying a card for her another friend haha. Surprise daoooo I msg-ed them to thank them. Turns out they were surprised by how LATE i discover the presents.. "Didn't you check your bag???" haha thank you so much dear ones hehe...
then I remember the present that my college bestie gave me one month earlier.Opened it up, only to find this awesome looking CN Blue Ear Fun album. I swear I was shouting with joy!! Next moment I was going to cry. I really don't deserve all these awesome gifts larr....really dunno whether I shud keep them. Anyways called the college bestie and "boiled phone porridge" for like 2 hours i guess. Missed her so much.  

I'm a happy girl. The crown necklace was from Vince hehe. and the pouch, earrings, from Sharon. I'm such a lucky girl to have these people.

Of course, even luckier to be part of my family hehe
