Vivocity, Sentosa, Clarke Quay Speed Trip + THE CONNOISSEUR CONCERTO

Outing with my dear college buddy Sheauwen!
Time to chillax. Her exams are over, and mine still long time till over haha
anyways, good reasons to have a fun day :)
well we were thinking of the places that we haven't visited and decided to go Vivocity!
One thing I really like about Singapore, super awesome transport system! You can basically go anywhere u want without worrying of getting lost. So we took the MRT to Harbourfront station.

Basically, VivoCity is like this super huge mall situated one stretch of ocean away from Sentosa Island. The building exterior is quite interesting, white exterior with lots of holes, I'm thinking that coral reef was the inspiration behind the architecture? The mall inside has all the luxury brands, very posh cafes and restaurants. Well i wasn't there to shop, so didn't really observe much. Instead we went to the promenade and also the rooftop SkyPark, just to enjoy the view and have some long awaited chit-chatting session.

Yeap, the SkyPark is mostly covered by this large pool? lol, I suppose it's called a water feature haha...
feel like jumping into the water coz the sun was so freaking blazing hot.
Anyway check out the wave patterns of the water, pretty right? wish I brought a better camera to capture them.

some sculpture that spins around when the wind blows, like a gymnast.

Beautiful view of Sentosa...

At the Promenade
Basically just enjoy the cool breeze and look across the sea
Great place to hang out or just calm your thoughts hehe

Then as we were sitting at the Promenade, looking across, there the Island with the Far far way castle, pretty hotels and then...
"Eyh Sentosa is just opposite lerr.... Let's Go!"
and again, thanks to awesome SG transportation, we can go to Sentosa directly from Vivocity via Sentosa Express Monorail. Anyway, Admission is SGD4, can be paid via EZlink.

Waterfront Station

how could we miss the Universal Globe?
OMG I wanna go USS so badly TT.TT feel like climbing over the fence haha

too much chocolate?

the pretty Candy Trees :D

haizzz as usual, EPIC de sheauwen haha

Then saw this Malaysian Food Street OMG
homesick sia

omg omg omg the defining moment when you see the words Petaling Jaya in Singapore haha
btw their roti bakar is nothing close to PJ's, like seriously...

We ordered Kaya Butter Toast(SGD1.50) and Cendol(SGD2.80)!
Cendol was actually quite okay, very strong gula melaka aroma n taste, just that they could have put more toppings hehe...

Btw, going into that place really makes you miss home
The nostalgic buildings with all the simple signboard.

Moving ON, took the monorail to Beach Station
revisited the Siloso beach which I'd been to during FOC...
It was around 6 something in the evening, yup Sunset Goodness!!
btw I love the weather weih! Is like very bright, but there's cool breeze....
Though it messes up my hair, but I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful blend of Yellow and Blue

Pretty sunset glow :D

we even wrote a message for Jiachee's Bday!

So sunset is beautiful, but short :(
Darkness takes over, time to look for a bright and happening spot
Clarke Quay
Didn't take much photos tho, only food pics hehe....
So this time, we went to a restaurant named
THE CONNOISSEUR CONCERTO
Western, with quite a wide range of main courses, features some unique coffee and desserts.
It's one of the restaurants along the promenade.

Cheesy Dinner indeed haha

Penne Mamma Mia -- SGD 17.00
Awesome, like seriously, awesome!
Baked cheese all over
I thought it's gonna be super heavy, since we ordered cheesy wedges as well. But this one has a very clean taste, the aroma of cheese is just awesome. There's a soft hint of the cheese's saltiness and milky taste. Love the texture, the chicken pieces are also well marinated, with yummy mushrooms. Penne really goes well with them.Thumbs Up!

Wedges with Cheese Dip -- SGD9.00
The cheese dip is not too rich, just a faint cheese taste and sweetness. Wedges are crunchy and mushy. Not bad.

Honey Citrus Fizz -- SGD6.00
One of the coolest drink I've ever had. Love the refreshing citrus aroma and very slight sourness that tinges your tongue abit. Then there comes the honey sweetness. It's very smooth. Like!

Apple Juice -- SGD4.20
Nothing special, just apple flavored water :D

Anyways, the prices above are not exact. Can't remember all of them, but the total bill amounted to SGD44. Not cheap I know, but it's the once-in-awhile-splurge. :D
but i'm very satisfied with the pasta, really thumbs up! Hope I'll save enough money to come back again and hopefully try their interesting range of coffee and beautiful desserts!!

Colorful buildings, colorful people, colorful lifestyle.

Many thanks to sheauwen who walked around with me that day, sorry for making the sudden decision to visit sentosa. But I guess it's quite worth it right?? :D
Will find time to explore Singapore further...
