New Place, New Face, New Race

Kay I shall update abit about my life in NTU just to tell you guys what a life I'm having hahahahah
Not to say I'm like having a very happening life larrr...
but the first two weeks were fun,
however there were still some emo moments....

Now let's start with the fun parts first larr...
The Freshman Orientation Camp organized by Malaysian Students Association!
while I was worrying about not knowing anyone in NTU on the first day I reach
this bunch of friends and seniors just took all those fear and doubts away!
The camp lasted for 5 days, thought it was long, but now that I think of it, 5 days certainly wasn't enough. It it one of those camps where you do crazy stuffs and hope time passes quickly but when the camp is over and you look back at the memories, you would feel no regrets about joining the camp.

So the camp was about bonding new students with seniors, getting familiar with the new environment and also have fun around uni and also Singapore!
Camp was packed with fun, crazy, interesting and even scary activities haha...
Did lots of stupid stuff, said lots of dirty words, played lots of crazy games and most importantly, met lots of good friends.

Day 1 -- PK Station Games on campus
Our group got second place!!

Day 2 Jalan Jalan around Singapore!

It was actually a treasure hunt, but I'm glad that our group decided to make it more like a sightseeing trip instead of rushing around to find treasure only! Singapore does have it's charm, many beautiful buildings with impressive architecture!

Day 3 - Games with AMCISA and Fright Night

AMCISA is another MY students association that gathers students from independent school. So we basically merged and had our new group of friends from the same course. Completed many fun tasks!
Fright Night was one of the best things in camp, though I hated the process, but seriously, it was a memorable experience. It's like visiting a haunted theme park without paying lerr!!! Really wanna give credits to the programmers behind this Fright Night who put in so much effort to turn NTU into an instant Haunted Mansion! The props, (bloody walls, dolls, heads, photos, lighting) the scare actors (costume, make-up, expression), the music HOMG damn scary lorrr!!! I was closing my ears most of the time hahahah sibeh scary weih....btw credits to my partner for being so brave throughout the journey and always step up first...
and also, not just putting up d props, keeping them and cleaning up the place must be super tiring, seriously appreciate their effort weih!

Day 4 -- iTrust and X Files

iTrust is a group activity done in total darkness...basically the games aim to bond group members together. For X Files, hehe quite a fun game too, our mission was to save our Leaders who were "kidnapped" There were riddles and questions to be solved, basically I didn't involve myself in any of the solving part haha....feel damn useless. My groupmembers were all lke Gods and Goddesses mann, they can solve the questions in less than a minute while I was still trying to digest what the instructions were haha...so yea i gave up solving but instead tried to look for clues, which I turn out to be useless again, coz I couldn't find any LOL
Anyways, with our teamwork, our leaders were saved in no time!

 Yeap they even use a lorry to pick us up!! Btw, we were blindfolded during the whole session, so yea, imagine urself, can't see anything and squatting in a lorry, not knowing where we're going, quite exciting de lorr!!

The slide!!! damn syok seriously. Being blind just makes more fun!

Day 5 -- Sentosa Island and Closing Ceremony

went to Singapore's most famous Sentosa island and explored around the island! Basically it's station games again, and we walked around sentosa to fulfill tasks. From the beach, to the merlion statue, to the Resorts World etc etc It was just really great to do fun things while exploring a busy area... After the games, it was fun time at the beach! Enjoyed the sun and the waves with my dear group mates!

At night, we had to perform our sketch and also our final Cheer! Everyone was so hyper! When the camp ends, the place turned into a dance floor haha! Had lots of fun just moving around and enjoying the fun atmosphere!

So yea that's pretty much about camp, well I wish I know better english to describe how fun the camp was larr....Once again, wanna say thank you to everyone that I know through the camp. Friends, seniors, committees, photographers. Everyone is just so caring and helpful! There's no pay/salary for running around with us, teaching us, leading us but yet the seniors and committee decided to involve themselves just to make us freshies happy. Really very gamdong!! I'm inspired to do the same thing to next year's freshies! 

Kinda miss my groupmates now, hope we can meet up soon!

Anyways....well I'm currently I'm in PJ
yes, class just started for one week and I just couldn't wait to come home!
Homesick very bad haha

Probably because SG is totally a new place, with new faces...
For the first few days I thought my hostel seem like an inmate cell...small windows, dim lighting....

I just feel moody whenever I stayed in my room, but thanks to the friends, I'm feeling much better now, not that lonely at least....
Anyways I'm sure after this short holiday, I'll be able to live through the semester with courage!

Farewell -- Meet up with the dear ones

Ohkay.....just some update about things that happened in the past 2 months hehe...
so in June, I received my offer to study in NTU
after breaking the news to the close friends, we decided to meet up hehe...

So...first up
Surprise Gathering with the collegemates!
haha still can't forget how funny the incident was...
Our beloved professor Jinyun will be flying to UK to study her degree, therefore me and sheauwen decided to meet up with her.

A fb msg conversation with Sheauwen 2 days before the outing:
Me : eyh, do u wanna ask Jiachee, sookching they all to join
SW : Haiyer...can you just be naive like me jek! Dun ask lar!
What naive? what dun ask? Bu Ming Bai?
Keep your bu-ming-bai-ness...

 So it was suppose to be just 3 of us. But in the middle of our lunch, our collegemates starts to appear out of nowhere, and all I had was a shocked face whenever they walk into the restaurant haha....Didn't really know it's actually a planned surprise farwell for me and Jinyun. Yea they did it, I was in fact surprised and also stunned like crazy. Coz i actually planned to have a gathering with collegemates, but thanks to d mastermind of this plan, who stopped me from inviting anyone else, I did not JIO other close friends. Then when our mastermind Sheauwen checked in on foursquare, everyone starts the BOJIO thing and I panicked coz i really felt bad that I didn't ask them to join us. haha then slowly things get fishy LOL
but it took me so long to realize it was a surprise hahahah....
nevertheless, they made me break a cold sweat seriously...

anyways, that day was indeed one of the best BETA gatherings I had in my life! It was just pure chit chatting session, everyone was updating about their lives, and encouraging each other, giving blessings to each other. I really love the strong bond we hold, omg i feel like crying as I'm writing this. I really love the Beta gang TT.TT  It was just so great to hear that everyone has settled down and we are all on track towards our dream! I mean, all of us really did struggle and all of us knew each other's hardship, it's just so heartwarming to see everyone finally going after what we want and we're happy for each other. :D

too bad I had to leave early, wished I could stay longer with them!

Then a week later, weekend hangout with the Sg Long Housemates and GG people, hehe GlobalEconomics Gang :D
I just feel so happy to spend time with them, at the same time I just wish we had more time, coz I realize there's so much things that I do not know about them....8 months was indeed too short :(

anyways, meet up with my housemates first and went afternoon tea with them
These two are like my brothers, one always help me do this do that, the other always listen to my crap haha...anyways we chat a lot that day and I know I'll miss talking to them so much!! They are really like family to me...the people that I turn to whenever I have problems and complaints...

At night, I went midnight makan with my lecturer Ms Farah!! awesome experience, too bad I had to leave, or else this semester would have been super fun! haha...

So second day, went to Midvalley with the GG. Had our lunch at Chilis yo! which marks our Round 1 of the journey haha...Anyways, Chilis food portion is so big that it took us like 2 hours to finish our meal haha

Went shopping around with the girls, pity the guys haha had to bear with us shoppaholics

it's sale season larr, how to resist all the clothes u tell me?

Anyways, had our Round 2 at Starbucks, Gardens...

Love it, it was like a chillax session with my dear friends...

talk about our days, some nonsense, jokes hehe, laughters...

while enjoying a cup of earl grey latte. Thumbs Up!

So yea, after the round 5, I went back to hostel and started packing my stuffs :(
This time, I'm leaving for real. Really felt sad as I was tidying up the room and shifting all my stuffs in the bathroom and kitchen. I'll miss all these experiences in Sg Long so much...

This girl is getting really busy, too bad I didn't have time to catch up with her. But I guess she's having lots of fun right now, really wish her all the best!

So yea, that's pretty much what happened during the catch-ups with my friends...
Really wanna thank them for having a farewell, and thanks for putting in d effort to actually make it a surprise as well haha...

I am so freaking proud of you! You turned the odds into your favor!

thought we had enough time to do all the fun stuff but turns our we were wrong!!
But anyhow, with the friends, and genting's atmosphere, there's no dull moment.

Another reason to why there weren't much photos
coz most of our time was spent at a place where photos are not allowed. 
Yes, it was our main objective of the trip since most of us were still underage. Yea some just short by few months, n some, like me, short by a year haha...
always wanted to do this, coz when the moment past, you can never do it again
Yes You Got It Right, I'm talking about entering the casino (while I'm still underage)
Most of my friends in PJ they had already done it, making me like the only one out, so I dare not ask them to do this with me haha...
anyways, all of us made it. But of course, there were fail attempts before all of us made it....in fact there's one who only made it once haha, you know who you are young girl! :D
but so far, I can conclude that most of us look old enough...
went to the Genting's Casino first, then the Starworld @ First World
Entering the casino was an eye-opening experience
Breath taking i must say, the place was huge, massive! It's like adult version Genting Theme Park
And there's so much to observe, the people, the games, the behavior, the expressions. I can literally feel everyone's desire in the air. It was entertaining enough to just see how the people play.
Anyways, other than that, we walked around, took photos, enjoyed the cool breeze and went to the indoor arcade as well. Then had coffee break at Starbucks (a must-do)

Okay, next post will be about Tangkak trip.

I'm so sorry!! I've been MIA for more than 2 months
and please understand It's not really my intention to do so.
The weeks after CNY holidays were crazy, okay if I'd known better english, there's probably some better word that could describe the complexity and insanity of those days...
Thanks to CNY holidays, we kinda procrastinated our work and everything have to be jumbled up in one month's time, from assignments, to presentations, to event planning, to mid-term. There's no single day where I can just watch my movies like nobody's business. There must be something to do. Nevertheless, I guess I wasn't exactly lifeless lar...fun things still happen hehe.

Appreciation Day Photo Taking Fund Raiser.
We were giving instant photo taking service to our uni's students...
with the aim of raising funds for an orphanage and also to let students keep photos as a token of memory (which is very rare nowadays since all photos are digitally stored)
Well the event turns out to be more successful than we expected

haha yes i just used the word kids, they were all little brother and sisters to me...

Sheauwen - The college bestie's farewell as she continues her studies in Singapore!

April was pretty much calm, which is exactly the forecast of a storm!!
I pretty much spent my time TRYING to study....but obviously i failed. Lecturers were rushing to teach whatever they can...however, still managed to have some fun with my dearest classmates... :D

Finals starts at the end of April and continues until the first week of May
and yes, I have two exams landed on 2 public holidays, pity me :(
Microecons was right after the GE, and I didn't study at all just to watch the live results of GE
anyhow, i thought it was worth it haha....eventhough i screwed the paper.

so, after the exams, the classmates and I went to our long awaited one day trip!
yeap, the after-exam-stress-release-bonding-playing-rule-breaking-and-play-like-a-boss trip!
