Really Happy CNY!!

So.....The CNY Holidays ended
well it makes no difference to me actually, since I'm still on my 3 months holiday. But the previous week was what I call a REAL HOLIDAY. 


Monday & Tuesday : House Decorating + Last Minute Shopping

Wednesday aka CNY Eve aka 除夕夜 : Reunion Dinner @ Dad's Hometown, Sagil, Tangkak.

This was like our first time taking family photo grandchildren-reunion-dinner photo in dunno-how-many-years

I never realize how big my family was until that night, we needed 3 tables for reunion dinner. The food was yummy. Thanks to my aunties and my mom who worked hard to cook this huge dinner for us!!

Thursday : Back to Home Sweet Home

Nothing much, stayed home and rest for the whole day

Thanks to the local TV stations for not making my day boring

There were tonnes of good shows on that day

My Fave, M'sia's first Chinese Tele-movie

Laughed so hard while watching this show....

They used all the local accents and the typical M'sia-china-apek style aka rojak language 

Made me realize how "kampung-ish" my dad is because he had been using the same accent and same words all these years....and of course, i picked up all these accents over the years, so I'm very kampung-ish too XD

Friday to Sunday : Bukit Tinggi Trip with my Mom's side relatives

Stayed in Selesa Hill Homes

That place is really beautiful, good for people who wants some peace and some fresh air.

Friday Morning till Afternoon : Went to Genting + Awana

Basketball is still the best game to play in the arcade

That's why there are people who just wouldn't leave after playing for more than 10 rounds

Yes I waited so long just to play this thing

I don't know whether they are blind or something, they JUST CAN'T SEE THAT WE WERE THERE, WAITING BEHIND

Then we talked to one of them, but still they kept on playing for another few more rounds

damn geram

Then it was our turn, they came again, asking us to let them play so that they can finish their credit

eeeesh, lagi geram, I waited for you to play 10 rounds and now you want me to leave when I only played ONE round???

But at the end we left after playing 3 games because that grandmother kept talking and talking to us, as if we won't let them play.

Then there was this father and son who occupied the basketball game machine next to us

they lagi worse, I don't know how long they were there, all I know is that the person waiting behind them is damn kesian. I really wanted to tell him to give-up waiting....

Next Yumcha + Snooker at Awana

 The Teh Tarik is the best I tell you!!!!

So does the ABC, looks delicious right???

It's a must to drink teh tarik at the terrace while enjoying the view of the golf course, it's total indulgence!

The Nasi Lemak over there is super yummy too, but apparently they don't sell Nasi Lemak in the afternoon edi T.T

Evening, back to Selesa Hill Homes

At night, Mahjong All the Way!!!

I'm officially addicted to mahjong now. Now I know why they say mahjong can prevent Alzheimer's Disease, your brain have to work at high speed in order to win this game!! I'm begging my parents to buy one now....

Went back to KL on Sunday and had lunch at my granduncle's house. 

Yeap, that's pretty much what happened in the past week.

Nuffnang Movie Premiere Screening - Burlesque + Garden Lifestyle Store and Cafe

Before I start, really have to say Thank You to Nuffnang!!

This was my first time entering a cinema theater without paying LOL

I know in my recent post I said that I've lost the invites because I didn't reply the confirmation email.

Well Thanks to the very nice Nuffnang receptionist who gave me XinXian's email, I manage to email her. But she was already on leave, Thank God she left her colleague's email. So I contacted Robb Chew and ta-dah, I secured my invites hehe..... I must say I have to thank all these Nuffnang people!!

So yea went to Midvalley with my cousin, I haven't been to Midvalley for like who-knows-how-many years....I was really really lost, I forgot how huge Midvalley was.....and it took us really long just to look for the directory..... unlike ou, you can find the directory at everywhere. Other than that, looking for the toilet was also a real problem *faints* 

To prevent ourselves from getting lost again, we gave up looking around for restaurants, instead we just chose a restaurant from the directory and walk towards there right away...

And we chose Gardens....

A cafe that both of us always wanted to go but couldn't due to the price of the food over there....

But since I don't have to pay for the movie and I've earned abit of money from "playing cards" during CNY so it doesn't hurt my purse that much to spend on something abit more expensive. Afterall, I need to enjoy the night right???

Yea this place is undeniably beautifully decorated
Just as the name suggests, there were flowers lined along the windows,
There's a plant on every table
The seats and tables are white
It's just very.......dreamy =)

The hostess gave us a reserved table which was right beside the window, love it =)

Then there was someone playing the piano, he played and sang all the popular love songs that I really really loved. From Alicia Keys to Wang LeeHom's songs, you name it. With all these awesome music playing and all these pretty flowers surrounding you, the environment is just.....Beautiful!! Or in other words, Total Indulgence!!

Pink Rose Tea - RM12.90

Strongly recommended!!!!

It taste awesome!! It's sweet, I mean refreshingly sweet, not the sugar-type of sweet.

Spaghetti Marinara - RM18.90

My cousin ordered this...

hmm.....it's not really delicious, but it's still okay larr

It has prawns, mussels and clamps lerr, for this price I think it's very worth it =)

KungPaw Chicken with Shanghai Noodles - RM19.90

I wanted to order Spaghetti Carbonara, but it's sold out already. T.T

The noodles are okay, but the sauce was abit weird, it's just doesn't seem to taste like the usual KungPaw sauce.The chicken was okay too, quite crispy =)

Really adore this Pink Rose Tea

At the end, you know what you're paying for....
It's not the food, It's the environment =)
The place, the flowers, the white seats, the lights, the music....
The staffs were really nice too =)

A beautiful place to enjoy your meal. I remember almost every table over there were occupied by couples which made me and my cousin felt abit weird LOL. 

With this warm setting and delicious dishes, no doubt it is the best choice for couples to have dates.

I know, I know, laugh at me, I haven't been to The Gardens despite of being a PJ-ian.

I didn't really bother to walk into those shops, I was just doing my after-dinner exercise by walking around.

Movie Review

Movie Name : BURLESQUE

Starred by : Cher and Christina Aguilera

Genre : Musical (To me, it's Musimedy, Musical+Comedy)

In three words : Funny, Entertaining and Musical.

Synopsis :

Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA.  After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.

Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician.  With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage.  Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal… 

Review :

I think the movie is really nice, way better than what I expected

I thought the whole movie will be just singing, dancing and kissing only LOL

But turns out there's some story in it and it's quite funny. Not too drama but a simple yet entertaining story line.

So I think the characters and the story line is okay, though abit cliche....

Afterall, the main focus of this film is the MUSICAL PART.

And yes I wasn't disappointed.

I had always loved Christina Aguilera's vocals

The songs are nice, very burlesque-ish, not the ordinary pop song type....which I think it's very special and something new.
And those great vocals just gives me goosebumps all the time!!

With all the dancing and the beautiful setting of the stage, I think it's really nice.

The characters' costumes and make-up are kind of eye-catching/attractive to me. I love it!

I love the casts, Cher, which I had no idea who she was, was really really awesome, especially her singing. Christina Aguilera looks really pretty and she suits the character Ali perfectly!! and I must say Cam Gigandet is really really hot!!!! Other characters like the stage manager and Nikki were really good too. The casts are very strong....

Anyways, here's my favourite song in the show

and it's also the Best Original Song for Golden Globe Awards

You Haven't Seen The Last of Me by Cher

If you watch the show, this song came out at the perfect timing.

The lyrics and the melody were awesome. And the way Cher performed it, it's very touching, almost made me cry.

No doubt it is the best soundtrack!!

So.... Burlesque is a nice movie. I guess people like me who loves music will enjoy this. But I'm not sure about others. If you like an entertaining, funny and not too drama film, I think you will like this.

Rating : 6/10

I'm now back in KL already after going back to my dad's hometown on CNY Eve...
hehe, had loads of fun with my cousins this year, especially when it comes to Black Jack...hahahahaha
Won quite a lot, well it is a lot to me, I play in small amounts only.....
My cousins say I won just enough to pay the toll's fare LOL....
yea, thanks to my cousins, I have a bit of extra money to spend during the next 2 days

Yeapz.....will be heading to Bukit Tinggi and Genting for the weekend with my cousins =)

Nuffnang's Burlesque Premiere Screening Invites just flew away before my eyes...

Gosh I want to cry now, really.....

I was working last weekend, and my internet was suckish due to the rain...
so I didn't check my mail............... UNTIL TODAY
The moment I saw the title, I was smiling so wide that my mouth was gonna crack....

But the moment I saw the confirmation deadline
My smile changed 180 degrees to a frown.....
I wanted to cry, I wanted to shout, I wanted to swear etc etc

I was so thrilled to win this coz this is like my first time winning an movie screening invite from Nuffnang
haiz....really sad now....
I really wanted to attend this screening
I think Burlesque will be a great movie
I called Nuffnang's office just now, The person in charge is on leave already T.T
haiz.....

Okay I Guess I should cheer up now

After all, I'm not that lucky....

Hope the person who got my invites will enjoy the movie screening =)

It's Tuesday!!!
okay, tuesday is just another normal day...
I'm still waiting miserably for time to pass...
Anyways, Last weekend, my cousin came after not seeing her for more than a month
So as usual, we bought masks for ourselves to enjoy our weekend nights LOL
After all the standing and serving at my working place, a mask is just so awesome to cool down and relax abit..
We tried masks from this new brand (it's new in M'sia i think)

My Scheming, 我的心机

and again, the packaging of the product caught my eye
It's just so cute and they have all these unique mask like Milk, Rose, Herbal, Pearl, Mint, Sakura, Marigold, Camellia and Caviar instead of just old school GreenTea/Lemon/Lavender or Aloe Vera masks....
and erm I just found out from the web that they have Sake Mask too!!! Weird, but cool!!
And not to forget, it's quite affordable as well...
For now, You can only find it in Watsons
I bought it for RM6 something per mask
the eye mask is RM4.90 (if I'm not mistaken)

 

So I tried.....

Crystal Whitening Brightening Eye Mask

Dark Circled was certainly a big problem for me

This eye mask is in the form of gel patches which is super cooling and soothing!!

Love it, and I can see small brightening effects after the first use.

Yes, this is better than any other eye mask that i used.

Though the effect is not very obvious, but at least there is....

And my eyes felt better, not that tired...

Bulgarian Rose Whitening Mask

Again no major effects can be seen.

But I'm not saying that it's bad, cause I just like how these sheet masks helps in soothing and relaxing =)

The one thing that I like is that the essence of the mask can be easily absorbed

After peeling off the mask, you don't really have to wipe off all the residue 

and you can feel that your face absorbed all the essence...

That's why I love this brand sooo much!!!

Experiences are always really precious....

Hey, I was away from internet for the weekend because I was actually working...
Yay!! Yes I have a job!!
From now onwards, I don't have to fill the word "None" in the Working Experience column of my resume anymore.....hehe
I worked as a juice promoter at Carrefour TC Mall...
Well the job was easy but hard at the same time
well the easy part is, you don't need to have any special skills, it's just serving and talking
the hard part is standing for the whole day and also the pain you bear while waiting for the time to slowly pass....
It was a good experience after all....
Now I know I shouldn't give false hopes to sampling promoters by eating/drinking the samples but end up not buying it....
2 days down, I have one more weekend to work
and after that I shall enjoy my CNY with extra income lol

After the job I will crap the FULL JOB EXPERIENCE...hehe....stay tuned lol!!

Cats Love coming to My House.....and I don't know why.

Another week had started, I start to think that I'm really wasting time
gosh but there's nothing much I can do
I found a weekend job but that person wants to place me at another venue, so end up with NOTHING.
Anyways, I realize there's loads of cats visiting my house everyday.
I don't know what they want,
they just lie down at the porch
kind of like crying screaming sometimes
and of course, they have CAT FIGHTS every now and then
I really wonder why they love my house so much
And the thing is, most of them are owned by someone
They all have a bell tied around their neck and they all look cute to me despite I hate cats...
Maybe their owner tortured them or something.....


Yea I was boring enough to talk to them LOL
I told them things like
"Stop crying larrr"
"I think you got the wrong house la"
"I'm sorry but my mom wont let me keep you T.T "
"you're hungry is it??"

One of them came to my house every single day for two weeks
and I started to name it "Baby"
I was kind of sad when Baby didn't comeback again
I was worried, 
cause there was a really heavy rain and storm the day before
dunno what happened to it T.T

These cats are really cute

I don't know why no one take them as pets?

okay maybe I should ask that question to myself....
